The Greybeard

Hello, Kevin Lee MacKenzie here, trying to show off some of the work I had the pleasure of producing while at Cartoon Network (now known as CN for all you hep young cats out there). In fact, I had the pleasure of being on the ground floor before the arrival of most of what Cartoon Network became known for: everything from The Powerpuff Girls to The Venture Brothers came through the door after I did.

Please review and enjoy the work presented here. I'll try to entertain with a story or two where applicable and give credit where it is most due - some of the pieces I'll present are collaborations with some of the finest artists (and friends) I've ever had.

It goes without saying that all work presented here is TM and Copyright Cartoon Network; I just had the fun of playing with all their toys.

If you would like to see a full resume' and more samples, drop me a line at: kevinlmack@gmail.com and I'll forward one along.

12 Days of Cartoon Soup

My official title with CN was: Digital Character Artist. Unofficially, it was Utility Infielder as I was called upon to create work for style guides, PR pieces, interactive kiosks, to review vendor toy sculpts & packaging and to provide brand assurance for CN's off-channel commerce group. And more...Whew!

Cow & Chicken BG

A Cow & Chicken background created for the style guide.

Samurai Jack BG

One of my favorite pieces, a Samurai Jack background created for style guide use. Created, as are most of my works, in Adobe Illustrator for infinite scale-ability.

TV Guide Cover

Here's a cover done for TV Guide, rendered in Illustrator of course.

Duck Dodgers Poster

Speaking of Daffy Duck, here's a poster promoting the debut of Duck Dodgers on CN. Rendered in a mix of Illustrator & Photoshop.

AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE BG

I'm showing off these BGs, created for use in the ATHF style guide in order to accentuate a claim I made earlier: I can reproduce anything in Illustrator. These BGs, originally created using a photoshop collage technique attest to that boast. This BG was one of the main pieces used in the series.

Character Art: RED GUY!

One of the more insane (and fun!) characters we ever worked on, Mr. Lance Sackless himself, the Red Guy from Cow & Chicken.
